if your disability prevents you from treating your injury or illness and you do not need clinical treatment from another support system, such as the health system, we may consider incorporating money for a support worker in your plan.
This employee would help you manage duties related to your
persistent functional impairment in day-to-day activities.
For instance, we might pay for a support worker if you frequently remove the bandage from your wound as a result of an intellectual disability.
But, it is highly unlikely that we will cover the costs of the treatment or medical equipment you need for your illness or injury, such as bandages or medication.
They are unrelated to your disability.
